Episode 67

We're back! Again! For the second or third time!

In this episode, we discuss an upcoming short story anthology that I (Shawn) put together.

Ironically enough, it's called 'Through the Aftermath,' in honor of this podcast and all of you wonderful listeners. It's a compilation of 19 different stories from 19 different authors, all with a common theme: Cupcakes. No wait, I mean THE POST-APOCALYPSE!

The anthology will be available for purchase from retail book stores and on Amazon in 2023, but I started up a Kickstarter for early access and special deals that will only be available through this Kickstarter (like getting your name in the book or on the back cover!).

We also discuss our favorite upcoming post-apocalyptic TV shows, movies, and games. And, as always, Jonathan's intro is beyond epic.

You may have noticed that this episode is on a completely different feed! You can now find us on Anchor, with links to several other platforms from that site coming soon.

We'll be porting over old episodes soon (TM) so sit tight! Jon has to fix the reel-to-reel transponding machine again.

The real pandemic won't stop us from talking about the apocalypse! In this episode, we talk a great deal about Fallout 76 as Shawn finally stepped foot into the game. Welcome to 2018, Shawn.

Weeeee're Baaaaaack! And all it took was a real apocalypse! Yes, that's right, after almost exactly three years to the day, Shawn and Jonathan have returned to record another episode of Through the Aftermath! In this one we talk about COVID-19, also known as the Corona Virus. And we did it all without one Corona beer joke... can you believe it?! We also talk a bit about what we've been up to for the last three years, including Fallout 76, a post-apocalyptic Aladdin, and Jon's real life medical apocalypse!

We even dusted the cobwebs off our email address, so if you'd like to reach out, you can contact us at TTAftermath at GMAIL dot COM. And don't forget about our Facebook group!

In this 64th episode of Through the Aftermath, Shawn is joined by Jim "Tank" Dorsey and Faye Murman to talk about a brand new documentary being made that focuses on Tank's life called "Humungus: A Documentary."

The two discuss their travel around the world -- including Australia, Atlanta, New York City, and the California desert -- to follow Tank's life as a top-shelf cosplayer in the post-apocalyptic realm and beyond. The Mad Max filming location stories are particularly interesting, including a surprise meeting with one of the franchise's biggest stars!

You can find out more information on the documentary by visiting the Facebook page.

Shawn and Steve talk about the rulesets and costumes for the LARP, as well as the upcoming Eastlander immersion event in South Carolina from December 2nd to 4th.
