In this first episode of 2010, Shawn and Jonathan discuss the two times in history when the world has come closest to nuclear war: The Cuban Missile Crisis and Able Archer. Topics include the hows and whys, as well as an explanation of how these close-calls helped to mold our current safeguards against something like this happening again.

    What books etc.. TTAM listeners have you found at your local library?

    I can find stuff my self sure, it is easy on the internet like this place http://www.post-apocalypse.co.uk/ but I'd rather hear recommendations from the fans of this podcast :)

    Well here's mine for today, http://www.post-apocalypse.co.uk/ I checked it out and they seem pretty good, maybe the TTAM guys can interview them and find out what influenced them into getting into PA :)

    Here is another suggestion, "Apocalypse Lane" http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/apocalypse-lane it is a PA caroon these 2 guys made and it is sooo funny and cool how he shown in their "making of, episode" how he uses some cool program to make the cartoon.
